Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator III for a remote, nationwide role. You will manage and optimize significant production databases, perform backups, restores, and maintenance, and collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams.

You will handle T-SQL tuning, DBMS administration, and on-call rotations, contributing to mission-critical systems while upholding security standards and SDLC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field (or equivalent).
• Five or seven years of database administration experience depending on degree.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and T‑SQL scripting.
• Experience with PowerShell and SQL Server integration services.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve production issues.
• Configure, script, install, monitor, upgrade, and administer DBMS.
• Ensure service level agreements for clients are met.
• Off-hour production support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Define and enforce database policies, procedures, standards.
• Communicate with technical and business teams and auditors.
• Backups, point-in-time restores, maintenance plans for critical apps.
• Support SDLC and provide cross training to junior DBAs.
• Ensure security best practices are followed and perform related duties.
