Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Database Administrator III to support and maintain enterprise databases on a remote, nationwide basis. You will lead T-SQL performance tuning, manage DBMS tasks, and ensure SLAs for clients across federal and commercial sectors.

The role requires strong scripting, security, and cross-team collaboration, with on-call rotation and off-hours support as needed. A degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree required or five years of database administration experience if no degree.
• Experience with database administration across production and non-production environments.
• Ability to create T-SQL scripts and manage complex SQL environments.
• Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and backups/restores.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve production issues using native SQL Server and tools.
• Manage configuration, scripting, installation, monitoring, upgrades, and administration of DBMS.
• Meet SLAs for internal and external clients.
• Provide off-hour production support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Define, enforce, and document database policies and standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with technical teams, business units, and auditors.
• Perform backups, restores, and maintenance plans for mission-critical apps.
• Mentor junior DBAs and provide cross-training.
