Job summary

Ensono seeks a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in DB2 to provide premium DB2 sysprog support for mainframe clients. You will perform upgrades, administration, and tuning to optimize DB2 environments.

The role requires multi-client support, on-call participation, and collaboration with vendor teams to ensure timely problem resolution. Experience with DR planning and DB2 security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional DB2 administration and systems programming experience.
• Knowledgeable in software management, maintenance and documentation.
• SMP/e experience.
• Experience with configuring DB2 in a parallel sysplex environment.
• Experience with DB2 security requests and DR planning.
• Ability to review DB2 changes and advise clients on benefits.
• Strong multi-client support and after-hours responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium DB2 sysprog support for Ensono mainframe DB2 environments.
• Perform DB2 upgrades, administration, and tuning.
• Collaborate with vendor personnel to resolve database issues.
• Handle backups, restores, and monitoring of DB2 objects.
• Support 24x7x365 operations across time zones.
• Assist in migrations for new customers and disaster recovery tasks.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures.
