Job summary

Ensono is seeking a seasoned DB2 Sysprog to provide premium DB2 administration and mainframe support for our clients. You will perform upgrades, maintenance, and tuning to optimize DB2 environments, partnering with vendor personnel to resolve issues and ensure timely solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in DB2 administration and SMP/e, with responsibilities including on-call duties, DR planning, and migration support across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional DB2 administration and systems programming.
• Knowledgeable in software management, maintenance and documentation.
• SMP/e experience.
• Experience with configuring DB2 in a parallel sysplex environment.
• Experience with DB2 security, DR, and disaster recovery plans.
• Ability to review change requests and impact on clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support new DB2 services and customer solutions.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS clients relating to DB2.
• Provide primary support for DB2 tablespace issues.
• Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Assist migrations for new customers involving DB2 and OEM software.
• Work with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
