Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in DB2, to provide premium DB2 sysprog support for our mainframe clients. You will perform upgrades, maintenance, and tuning, working with vendor teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations 24x7.

The role requires 5+ years in DB2 administration, SMP/e experience, and strong knowledge of z/OS environments. On-call responsibilities and cross-timezone support are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in DB2 for administration and systems programming support.
• Knowledgeable in best practices of software management, maintenance and documentation.
• Experience with configuring and managing DB2 in a parallel sysplex environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium DB2 sysprog support and services to Ensono mainframe clients.
• Perform mainframe database software upgrades and maintenance.
• Work with vendor personnel to resolve database problems in a timely manner.
• Support day-to-day DB2 maintenance, backups, restores, and DR procedures.
• Perform database optimizations and performance analysis.
