Job summary

The role emphasizes hands-on security, automation, and partnering with Security Operations and Data teams to sustain data protection and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in information security, cloud or data engineering.
• Hands-on data protection lifecycle, encryption, and access controls.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and relational databases.
• Strong SQL, scripting, and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement data protection controls across the enterprise data estate.
• Configure encryption for data at rest and in transit; manage keys/secrets.
• Enforce least-privilege access across data platforms and reviews.
• Harden security configurations for Fabric, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
• Embed controls in data ingestion, transformation, and sharing workflows.
• Automate deployment, assessment, and compliance validation.
