Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. seeks a Senior Program/Project Manager for the BioData Catalyst initiative within the CMRPD. You will lead program planning, cross‑functional coordination, budgeting, and reporting to support NIH/NHLBI data science initiatives.

Strong experience in government projects, risk management and stakeholder engagement is required. The role is remote with periodic onsite meetings and a focus on data‑driven biomedical research collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or six years of related experience in project management, health or life sciences or computing.
• Minimum two years in program/project management in a scientific or technical environment.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and reporting in complex programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Proven track record leading collaborative efforts with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management planning, execution, reporting and closeout to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with government officials at varying leadership levels on vision, support and logistics.
• Provide PM oversight in a matrixed environment and manage cross-functional activities.
• Monitor program budgets, finances and resources; support operations and development.
• Serve as liaison with other managers and ensure policy and contract compliance.
• Prepare program reports, risk summaries and ad hoc governance documents.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks across the program lifecycle with proactive plans.
• Coordinate meeting management, take notes and track action items for committees and panels.
• Convene scientific panels and review panels; draft summary statements.
• Communicate with senior CMRPD and NIH/NHLBI leadership to ensure smooth program operations.
• This position is remote, with onsite meetings as needed to support customer expectations.
