enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to design, deploy, and operate data protection solutions for on‑prem and cloud environments. The role emphasizes DLP, DSPM, encryption, and policy management, working with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and container orchestration.

Strong scripting and cross‑functional collaboration are essential. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data protection/security, experience across Windows/Linux, and cloud provider design, with a focus on HIPAA/PCI/NIST

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
• Substitutions: 5 years of Information Security/IT with hands-on Engineering principles
• Preferred Master’s degree in Information Security/CS or related field

Responsabilités

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure components across platforms and vendors (DLP, DSPM, de-identification).
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies including sensitive info types and detection tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate to expand team knowledge and stay updated on data protection tech.
• Ensure compliance with HITRUST, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, ISO standards and ITIL.
