Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join its team and support the implementation, maintenance, and operation of data protection infrastructure. You will work across on-prem and cloud environments, deploying DLP/DSPM solutions and tuning policies to protect sensitive data.

The role requires hands-on experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and GKE, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention and information security.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP and DSPM.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, sensitive information types, and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate to expand knowledge and stay current with data protection technologies.
