Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and support our data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will work with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis while configuring DLP and DSPM policies and automating repetitive tasks.

The role requires collaboration with senior engineers, incident troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of security posture. Remote/office options may apply, with a focus on HIPAA and NIST-aligned practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure DLP/DSPM policies and tune detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to support deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates to expand knowledge and stay current with DSPM trends.
• Provide documentation and participate in project meetings to share updates.
