Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join its Data Protection team. The role covers implementing, maintaining, and supporting data protection infrastructure and applications, with emphasis on DLP and DSPM across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will work with leading tools like Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, and develop automation scripts in PowerShell and Python while helping shape policies and standards in alignment with HIPAA/NIST guidance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Deploy and configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Design and implement data protection policies across platforms.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support data protection projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with team to expand data protection knowledge.
• Stay current with data protection tech and compliance requirements.
