Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of our data protection infrastructure and applications across on‑premises and cloud platforms. You will work with senior engineers to deploy DLP, DSPM, and related tools, and develop automation to improve efficiency and security.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting incidents, policy configuration, and staying current with HITRUST/NIST/PCI/HIPAA guidance, with hands-on experience in Purview,

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization’s data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on‑premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, including sensitive information types and detection tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis and escalation as needed.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software.
