Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our Data Protection team in the United States. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and supporting data protection infrastructure and applications across on-prem and cloud environments.

Expect collaboration with senior engineers to enforce policies and improve DSPM/DLP capabilities using Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis. Responsibilities include deploying DLP/DSPM, tuning policies, incident response, and automation scripting

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and maintaining DLP/DSPM solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data protection frameworks and security controls.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and policy tuning for DLP/DSPM and de-identification.
• Configure policies across platforms and tune detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for deployment and maintenance.
• Stay current with HITRUST CSF, NIST, PCI, HIPAA and related standards.
• Participate in projects, testing, documentation, and meetings.
