Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and operational support of its data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with Windows, Linux, GKE, and multiple DLP/DSPM tools while collaborating with senior engineers to improve policies and procedures.

The role requires 5+ years in DLP, information security, and cloud architecture (GCP/AWS/Azure), strong scripting skills, and advanced certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience designing and supporting architecture across GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL 3.
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees and advanced cloud certifications (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms, including DLP and DSPM components.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions aligning with business needs.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms and tune detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis for remediation.
• Assist in testing, deployment, and documentation for data protection projects.
• Use PowerShell, Python to improve deployment efficiency and follow coding standards.
