Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team to implement, maintain and support our data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with senior engineers to deploy DLP, DSPM and de-identification solutions, and help tune policies to reduce risk while enabling business processes.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with Windows and Linux, hands-on scripting (Python/PowerShell), and knowledge of HIPAA and other

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
• Master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Configure and tune DLP/DSPM policies and sensitive information types.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate on design and deployment of data protection solutions.
• Develop documentation and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and regulatory requirements.
