Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, including DLP and DSPM solutions. You will configure sensitive information types, tune detections, and assist in incident response while collaborating with senior engineers.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows/Linux, GKE, and multiple cloud providers, plus strong scripting (PowerShell/Python) skills and deep knowledge of data

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with two or more programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support for two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL 3; Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and tune DLP/DSPM policies and sensitive information types.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions; participate in project meetings.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tooling (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance processes.
