Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain advanced data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). You will configure DLP/DSPM solutions, develop policies, and troubleshoot incidents while collaborating with senior engineers to meet security and compliance requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in data protection, information security, and policy management, with hands-on scripting in Python/PowerShell and cloud

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell etc.)
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to at least two of the following cloud service providers: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Azure
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
• 5 years of Information Security, Governance, Risk and or Compliance, Information Technology or Business Analysis with at least 3 years of hands-on Engineering principles
• Master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
• Advanced certification in any of these cloud providers - GCP, AWS or Azure (E.g. Professional Cloud Architect/Security Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, configuring DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, including sensitive information types and detection tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis
• Contribute to data protection projects with testing, implementation and documentation
• Use PowerShell, Python to improve efficiency and support deployment and maintenance
• Collaborate with teammates to expand knowledge of data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies and evolving compliance requirements
