Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain data protection infrastructure, support DLP/DSPM solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, and collaborate with senior engineers on policy development.

The role requires hands-on experience with DLP, information security, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
• Master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Configure DLP and DSPM policies, tune detection parameters, manage exception lists.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate on projects, testing, documentation, and coding standards.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and evolving compliance requirements.
