Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team, focusing on implementing and maintaining data protection infrastructure and applications across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).

The role requires experience with DLP/DSPM tools (Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis) on Windows and Linux, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python to automate deployment and testing.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with architectural support across Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
• 5 years of Information Security, Governance, Risk and/or Compliance with hands-on Engineering principles
• Master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
• Advanced cloud provider certification (GCP, AWS or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms, including DLP and DSPM
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud environments
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Contribute to data protection projects with testing, implementation and documentation
• Use PowerShell, Python to improve deployment efficiency
• Collaborate with team to expand data protection knowledge
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements
