Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Data Domain Manager to lead governance, quality, and lifecycle management of data within a domain, starting with Product data and PLM processes. You will partner with business and tech teams to establish standards, ownership, and a roadmap that drives enterprise transformation.

The role requires strong collaboration, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to influence across a global, multi-brand organization. Remote work in the US is supported with state eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Data governance, data management, MDM, or data quality certification preferred.
• Experience in enterprise transformation or process excellence preferred.
• 6–8 years in data governance, master data management, or data stewardship across a domain.
• Proven ability to establish data ownership, standards, and decision rights.
• Experience defining data quality measures, KPIs, and controls; root-cause analysis.
• Experience with metadata, lineage, lifecycle management, and data definitions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability across teams.
• Experience supporting product data or PLM systems preferred.
• Experience in a global, multi-brand organization preferred; consumer products/retail/SC exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead domain data strategy, ownership, and prioritization to enable transformation.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to establish ownership and decision rights.
• Identify critical data elements and define standards and business rules.
• Develop and execute a domain data roadmap to maximize business value.
• Elevate data quality, health, and governance through KPIs and controls.
• Monitor domain data health and escalate risks for remediation.
• Manage domain metadata, lifecycle, and stewardship across its lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into governance and technology requirements.
• Drive performance reporting and seek opportunities to simplify and automate data practices.
• Leverage AI and emerging tech to improve governance and outcomes.
