Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Data Domain Manager to lead governance and lifecycle management of enterprise data within the Product data domain. You will partner with business, data, and technology teams to define ownership, standards, and improvement roadmaps that drive transformation and innovation.

Your role emphasizes data quality, metrics, and governance processes, with opportunities to expand capabilities across enterprise data as priorities evolve. Remote work is supported in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field and 6–8 years in data governance or related domains.
• Experience maturing data governance with ownership, decision rights, and standards.
• Proven ability to measure data quality, define KPIs, and drive remediation.
• Knowledge of enterprise data management concepts, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead domain data strategy, ownership, and prioritization to drive business transformation.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to establish data ownership and governance decisions.
• Identify critical data elements and define standards and business rules.
• Develop a domain data roadmap and prioritize improvements to maximize value.
• Improve data health with KPIs, quality dimensions, and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor domain data health and escalate risks with corrective actions.
• Manage domain metadata, lifecycle, and stewardship across systems.
• Translate business needs into governance and technology requirements.
• Support system implementations and integrations with data governance best practices.
• Leverage AI and new tech to strengthen governance and outcomes.
