Job summary

Ericsson AB in the United States (TX) is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of hyperscale and enterprise data center infrastructure. You will perform rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, provisioning, testing, and field support with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves installing servers and network gear, routing copper/fiber, and designing installation records and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data center operations, cabling, or IT infra support.
• High school diploma or technical certification required.
• Knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking gear, and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage per designs and docs.
• Route, terminate, and manage copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling and standards.
• Install rack PDUs and verify power connectivity and management network.
• Provision equipment and set up OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing, MACD tasks, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
• Identify design or safety issues to senior technicians.
