Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers across Texas. The role requires hands-on experience with data center hardware, racks, and cabling, with a focus on quality and safety.

You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling installations, and equipment provisioning, while testing and documenting outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum 1+ year experience in data center operations or related field.
Experience with structured cabling, fiber/copper installations, and testing.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation.
Strong attention to detail and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
Install and manage copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling and routing.
Set up rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify connectivity.
Provision equipment, install components, and establish OOB management.
Perform testing, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
Identify design concerns or safety risks and escalate to senior staff.
