Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation while ensuring safety and compliance. The role fits technicians with data center or IT infrastructure experience who can work independently on standard tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing and validation activities, including continuity testing and fiber verification; perform MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and address installation issues, ensuring compliance with Ericsson standards and customer requirements.
