Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support across global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, while troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring uptime.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in data center operations, expertise with Cisco/Juniper devices, Linux and Windows administration, and the ability to work independently with remote teams. Travel may be required, including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience, including freelance work.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and network hardware.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site.
• Configure networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) for secure, efficient networks.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, applying updates and patches.
• Document installations and performance for remote teams.
• Implement security protocols to protect infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote teams and vendors on projects.
