Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for our global data centers. You will install, troubleshoot, and manage servers, networking gear, and virtualization to ensure high uptime and security.

Remote, flexible hours with opportunities to work with diverse clients. Requires 3+ years in data center operations and strong knowledge of Cisco/Juniper networking, Windows/Linux systems, and TCP/IP fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience
• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Juniper networking devices
• Proficient with Windows and Linux systems
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking gear and hardware for uptime
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site to minimize downtime
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices (Routers, switches, firewalls)
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, apply patches and security updates
• Document installations, repairs and performance for remote leadership
• Implement security protocols and data center best practices
• Collaborate with remote IT teams and vendors on projects
