Job summary

Reboot Monkey, a global IT solutions leader in data center management, seeks Freelance Data Center Technicians to deliver on-demand support for worldwide data centers. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers and networking gear, working independently with remote teams to ensure secure, reliable operations.

The role requires deep data center expertise, ability to travel on short notice, and willingness to work outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience, including independent or freelance projects.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices.
• Strong proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs).
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Linux+ are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware for optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing and resolving issues quickly.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco, Juniper) to ensure secure operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, applying updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance for the remote management team.
