Job summary

Reboot Monkey, a global IT solutions provider, seeks a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on‑demand support for our data centers worldwide. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and networks, working independently with remote teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years in data center ops, strong Cisco/Juniper skills, Windows/Linux, and virtualization; travel may be required and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center ops experience, freelance experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco and Juniper networking devices.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux systems; virtualization a plus.
• Certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or Linux+ are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking hardware for maximum uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnose issues quickly.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls.
• Manage Windows and Linux systems, apply updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance for the management team.
• Implement security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects.
