Job summary

Ericsson Inc. seeks a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead installation, maintenance, and operation of optical transport in customer data centers.

You will interface between customers and vendors, audit work quality, and ensure high standards across installations, migrations, remediation, and remote hands tasks. The role requires strong hands-on optical expertise, the ability to travel up to 50% to non-home market sites, and a focus on safety, quality, and process adherence in fast-paced

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data center operations or similar technical environment with customer interaction.
Hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling (single-mode/multimode, LC, fan-outs, structured cabling).
Strong written and verbal English for customer-facing work and reporting.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily audits of work at customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, delivering clear status reports.
Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migrations across data centers.
Perform and supervise optical testing and troubleshooting using appropriate equipment.
