Job summary

ABB is seeking a lead for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence in the United States. The role centers on running day-to-day service activities, driving operational excellence, and developing the surge team for Data Center and Field Services.

Remote work is allowed within the U.S., with preference for Western/Mountain Time Zones. You will oversee service delivery, performance management, and collaboration with cross-functional ABB teams to meet customer expectations and safety standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies; field service personnel development.
• Proficiency with MS Project; Google Workspace; SAP; ability to resolve project issues.

Responsibilities

• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across all field service operations.
• Develops, implements, and reviews field service strategy aligned with global business objectives.
• Ensures strong customer focus, urgency, and care in all service interactions to drive retention.
• Drives continuous improvement, first-time-right execution, and KPI-based performance management.
• Identifies onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicates them to account teams.
• Leads a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and effective end-to-end service delivery.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE standards and ABB Way requirements.
• Oversees Surge Team operations, including onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians to ensure high-quality execution.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve issues, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement.
