Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an ASCO Systems Field Service Technician to service critical data center equipment. The role involves ATS maintenance, startup, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance across multiple Schneider products with on-site and remote support as needed.

Expect 40-hour weekly schedule with opportunities for overtime, training at a state-of-the-art facility in Dallas, TX, and travel to customer sites for installations and service across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Vocational education, military training, or transferable experience in electronics, electrical theory or similar discipline.
• 5-7+ years of relevant mechanical, electrical and/or Emergency Power service experience.
• Experience writing reports and presenting information to managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Experience in testing, maintenance and upgrades in low or medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relay protection systems, control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
• Service administration and reporting including service orders, inventory review, and parts identification.
• Install, maintain and repair on customer installed base.
• Perform warranty work and start-up service.
• Startup/commissioning across Schneider Electric product portfolio.
• Testing, calibration, and replacement of components.
• Construct and test circuits using various tools and diagrams.
• Provide technical support and on-site audits.
