Job summary

ABB is seeking a leader to run day-to-day Data Center Services Center of Excellence activities in the United States. This remote-friendly role reports to the Director and oversees the surge team, field service personnel, and cross-functional execution to exceed customer expectations.

You will drive strategy, improve service availability, and ensure safety and compliance while collaborating with ABB teams across projects and accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of data center start-up, commissioning strategies, and field service personnel development.
• Knowledge of electrical industry within the data center market.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Google Workspace, SAP and project issue resolution tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong safety and environmental compliance posture.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer-focused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Executes day-to-day service activities for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence.
• Leads surge team development, onboarding, training, and compliance.
• Oversees timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provides leadership and coaching to Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to allocate personnel and resolve issues.
• Drives continuous improvement and KPI-based performance management.
• Ensures safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
