Job summary

Regal Rexnord’s Thomson Power Systems is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to support the Data Center vertical within the Power Management division. This role is remote with travel up to 40% and will partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to translate customer needs into compelling technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5+ years in a technical, product, or applications engineering role within electrical power systems or related industries.
• Strong understanding of power distribution equipment (switchgear, ATS, modular power).
• Knowledge of product standards (UL, CSA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC/CEC) in the Data Center space.
• Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and communicate with engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer visits and events.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Manager to define product requirements and roadmap priorities for Data Center vertical.
• Conduct field research and customer interviews to identify emerging needs.
• Translate market insights into actionable specifications and business cases.
• Support customer engagements, technical discussions, and solution positioning.
• Assist in developing GTM strategies, value propositions, and sales tools.
• Provide product training and technical support to sales teams and partners.
• Engage in customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to gather feedback.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and marketing for launch readiness.
