Job summary

Harness, a leading AI software delivery platform, seeks a customer-facing engineer to own complex issues for enterprise customers, from broken pipelines to deployment failures and misconfigurations. You’ll work hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms, delivering diagnostic tooling and runbooks while mentoring others.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering, contribute to AI/LLM tooling, and communicate findings clearly in customer calls, with opportunities to grow into

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing engineering, DevOps, SRE, or platform role
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong scripting and coding ability to read and modify code
• Clear written and verbal communication for customer calls
• Fast learner with hands-on in unfamiliar systems

Responsibilities

• Own customer cases end-to-end on your team, triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution across Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, and AWS/GCP/Azure including occasional customer build engagements (~20-30% of time)
• Contribute to customer-facing tooling and small product fixes alongside Product and Engineering
• Lead or actively participate in customer calls and screen shares, communicating findings clearly to both engineers and managers
• Build internal scripts and diagnostic tools that speed up the team's casework, with growing exposure to our AI/LLM-powered internal tooling
• Turn recurring patterns into run books, playbooks, and reusable templates for the broader team
