Harness is an AI-powered Software Delivery Platform company that helps enterprises automate testing, deployments, security, and compliance. This Customer Experience Engineer role involves owning complex technical issues for enterprise customers—from broken pipelines and deployment failures to infrastructure misconfiguration—and feeding learnings back to Product and Engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Own customer cases end-to-end: triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution across Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, and AWS/GCP/Azure environments
- Participate in customer build engagements (approximately 20–30% of time) shadowing and co-building alongside senior engineers
- Contribute to customer-facing tooling and small product fixes, converting patterns from casework into reusable diagnostics, dashboards, or bug fixes
- Lead or actively participate in customer calls and screen shares, communicating technical findings clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Build internal scripts and diagnostic tools to accelerate team casework, including exposure to AI/LLM-powered internal tooling
- Develop runbooks, playbooks, and reusable templates from recurring patterns for the broader team
What You Need
- 2+ years in a customer-facing engineering, DevOps, SRE, or platform role, or equivalent depth from internships, personal projects, or open-source work
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ECS, and Docker
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and Linux/networking fundamentals
- Scripting ability in Python, Node.js, Bash, or similar languages; ability to read source code and make small, guided changes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfort driving customer calls and documenting findings for both technical and non-technical audiences
