Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Customer Experience Consultant Trainee to bridge online and in-store car buying. You will respond to sales leads, advise customers on suitable vehicles, and help with financing and delivery scheduling toward a seamless experience.

Ideal candidates have prior sales or customer service experience, strong communication, and are able to work flexible hours. The role includes potential licensing steps and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous sales or customer service experience in retail or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Salesforce and Genesys or equivalent.
• Candidates must live within 60 miles or 1 hour of the CEC location.
• Ability to obtain an Automotive Salesperson License in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Engage with inbound customers online and by phone, uncover needs and guide through car-buying.
• Leverage inventory knowledge to recommend vehicles matching preferences.
• Guide customers through online sales, appraisals, financing, and scheduling delivery.
• Ensure smooth online-to-in-store transition for a seamless experience.
• Meet individual sales and performance targets while delivering iconic service.
