Job summary

AgriSompo North America, part of AgriSompo, Sompo International’s global agriculture platform, is seeking a Business Development Representative to grow insurance sales by building strong relationships with independent crop insurance agents within a defined region. This remote role is based out of Kentucky or Tennessee and requires travel up to 80%.

The position emphasizes servicing a book of business, growth, maintenance, and profitability year over year, with strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred in agriculture or business.
• 2 years agriculture experience required; 4 years preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in forging relationships with new and existing crop insurance agents to maintain and attract profitable business.
• Help interpret government regulations related to the Federal Crop Insurance Program.
• Collaborate with teams across territories to train customers on processes and platforms (web, mobile, mapping).
• Contribute to strategic marketing plans and forecasts to hit company objectives.
