Job summary

Sompo is seeking a Crop Insurance Senior Underwriter for our Southeast team. This remote role can be based in MS, KY, GA, TN, SC, or NC, supporting policy processing, reports, and agent questions.

Required experience in crop insurance with MPCI knowledge; 5+ years preferred. You will train others, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance with FCIC/RMA guidelines while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in crop insurance.
• Knowledge of MPCI program and underwriting rules.
• Ability to interpret policy provisions and FCIC guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Obtain policy from agents and verify acreage/production reports.
• Review applications for renewals and process RMA exceptions.
• Teach agents to use the system and train Underwriting team members.
• Process production and acreage reports and conduct policy reviews.
• Interpret FCIC policies and ensure compliance with RMA guidelines.
