Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, not required.
• 2 years crisis response/counseling experience required if no degree.
• 1+ year of related crisis, mental health, or substance abuse counseling experience required.
• Flexibility to cross-train across roles/departments with similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls from Crisis Lifeline clients seeking online emotional support.
• Meet Crisis Lifeline performance metrics.
• Engage with Imminent Risk clients, de-escalate, screen, safety plan, and reduce lethal means.
• Provide referrals, deploy mobile crisis units, and involve law enforcement in active rescue when needed.
• Cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties as required.
