Job summary

Boston Medical Center, through SafeSpot, seeks a dedicated Hotline Operator to handle state resource center calls for opioid dependence. You will engage callers with a harm-reduction approach, provide referrals, coordinate OBOT activities, and support clients in accessing treatment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) +1 year related experience; equivalent combo considered.
• Bachelor’s degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hotline support for State resource center for opioid dependence.
• Offer crisis intervention and referrals.
• Coordinate OBOT program activities.
• Collect and input data for statistics and reporting.
• Assist clients in linking to addiction services and treatment.
• Triage walk-in patients seeking opioid treatment.
• Screen potential patients and provide back-up to medical staff.
• Maintain wait lists per federal regulations.
• Disseminate resources to clients and families.
• Attend meetings and take minutes.
