Gaggle is seeking Independent Contractors for Crisis Counselor roles in a 100% remote setup in the United States. You will support K-12 students in crisis via text-based chats, with flexible scheduling to cover a 24/7 crisis line. Prior crisis line experience and counseling or coaching background are highly valued.

As part of a startup-like environment, you will handle confidential information and work independently with strong tech skills. National background checks are required for contractors.

Qualifications

• Crisis help line experience preferred
• Background in crisis management/de-escalation or mental health
• Counseling or coaching experience
• Empathetic listening and rapport building via text chat
• Experience with computer/web-based applications in professional settings
• Respect for diverse opinions and tolerance of others
• Adaptability to change in a startup environment
• Ability to work independently as an Independent Contractor
• Access to high-speed internet (not satellite)
• Access to a computer/chromebook/laptop (phones/tablets not acceptable)
• Experience with Slack or business chat apps is a plus
• Flexibility to cover 24/7 shifts
