Job summary

Crisis Counselor – Call / Chat / Text (Onsite Only)

Full-Time & Part-Time | Multiple Shifts Available (Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends)

$24.90 – $32.37/hour

What You’ll Do
  • Respond to crisis hotline calls, chats, and texts with empathy and professionalism
  • Provide suicide risk assessments, emotional support, and crisis intervention
  • Develop safety plans and connect individuals to appropriate resources
  • Accurately document all interactions in a CRM system
  • Collaborate with supervisors and mobile crisis units when needed
  • Conduct follow‑ups with high‑risk individuals and support ongoing care
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Participate in ongoing training, including 988 crisis response certification
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required (degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
  • Experience in crisis intervention, counseling, or behavioral health strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Tech‑savvy with ability to manage multiple systems (phone, chat, documentation)
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in high‑pressure situations
  • Flexible schedule availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and serving diverse populations
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
