Job summary

Flagstar Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager Team Lead - CRE Originations to guide a group of CRE Relationship Managers in negotiating and structuring complex commercial real estate deals. The role oversees origination, pricing, underwriting, and closing, while mentoring the team and driving revenue growth through strong sponsor and borrower relationships.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in commercial lending.
5+ years of experience in CRE lending relationship management and/or commercial lending sales.
Undergraduate degree in business, finance or related field.
Credit training preferred.

Responsibilities

New Business Origination.
Develops and maintains relationships to generate direct deal flow; Coordinates the team approach to approving and closing new deals to grow assets and revenues while optimizing profitability (ROE).
Mentors Relationship Managers; leads escalation resolution and complex high-risk deals; monitors workload and quality.
Collaborates with portfolio managers, sponsors and borrowers on opportunities to expand relationships.
Tracks production, revenue and forecasting results for management.
Monitors credit quality and ensures compliance with ongoing reporting and guidelines.
