Job summary

Logan Health, a growing health system, is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder to join our remote team supporting clients nationwide. The role requires accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding for outpatient records, data abstraction for reporting and reimbursement, and timely billing and collections for assigned databases.

Qualifications include at least one year of professional coding experience and a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC, or AAPC).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records.
• Abstracts essential data elements for tracking, reporting and reimbursement.
• Performs billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Verifies accuracy of patient accounts and coordinates with departments to ensure proper documentation and coding compliance.
• Adheres to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
