Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Travel Counselor to join our highly skilled remote team, delivering outstanding service to our corporate clients. You’ll advise and arrange travel for individuals and groups, researching options and ensuring adherence to travel policies.

Knowledge of GDS Sabre is required. You’ll work flexible shifts (including afternoons and weekends) as part of our 24/7 Traveler Care unit, with opportunities for training and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Passion for excellence in client service and proactive needs anticipation.
• Native GDS expertise (Sabre).
• Strong knowledge of international travel.
• Experience servicing via phone and email.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and integrity.
• Understanding of the travel industry (business/leisure/airline reservations).
• Ability to resolve issues quickly and independently with suppliers.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (individuals and groups).
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, proactively anticipating traveler needs to sell additional services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel across air, rail, and hotels.
• Knowledge of GDS Sabre required.
• Ensure compliance to travel policies, provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Use positive telephone service techniques and address special customer requests.
• Collaborate within the team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels.
