Job summary

CloudFit Software is seeking a Corporate Controller to build and scale the accounting function during a critical growth phase. This hands-on leader will own the close, strengthen controls, and oversee ERP implementation while developing a high-performing finance team.

The role emphasizes ownership of the monthly close, policy design, and cross-functional collaboration with VP of Finance and external partners. This is a remote, senior-level opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ownership of a complete financial close process.
• Experience producing audited financial statements and supporting external audits.
• Multi-state registration and apportionment experience.
• Cost accounting in project-based environments or similar complexity.
• Experience as liaison for external audits and compliance partners.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including calendar, reconciliations, and journal-entry review.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and system of record for auditor and investor scrutiny.
• Design accounting policies, controls, and approval workflows.
• Lead ERP implementation requirements, configuration governance, and testing.
• Manage payroll-related reconciliations and project-cost accounting within Finance Operations.
