Job summary

Echelon Fitness is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function and manage a 12-person team. The role emphasizes hands-on ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close with reliable financial reporting, strong internal controls, and cross-entity coordination.

The successful candidate will leverage expertise in US GAAP, NetSuite, and QuickBooks to drive process improvements, provide timely insights to leadership, and coach a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience including controller-level roles.
• Strong command of US GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.
• Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a 12-person accounting team with clear responsibilities and deadlines.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate financial statements and timely reporting.
• Oversee accounting across multiple entities using NetSuite and QuickBooks with cross-border considerations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to protect assets and ensure accuracy.
• Improve accounting systems, workflows, and automation to reduce manual work.
