Job summary

B Consulting is seeking an experienced accounting leader to own the monthly close for a portfolio of funded, high-growth startups. You’ll supervise offshore accountants, review outputs, and partner with controllers and founders on strategic insights.

The role spans inventory costing, revenue recognition, and equity accounting across diverse clients, with a clear path to controller-level opportunities. Fully remote, competitive compensation, and CPA support offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years supervising or reviewing others' work
• Experience serving multiple clients or entities concurrently
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition
• Full-cycle monthly close ownership
• Ability to lead client calls without a Controller present
• CPA or CPA-eligible pursuing certification
• Startup or VC-backed client experience
• Inventory, manufacturing, or cost accounting exposure

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close for multiple clients
• Review and guide offshore accounting team output
• Manage reconciliations, accruals, and deferred entries
• Update cash forecasts and financial models with actuals
• Maintain client budgets and lead recurring client calls
• Translate financials into actionable insights for non-finance founders
• Collaborate with Controllers on advisory work and operations
• Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and tax compliance tasks
• Assist with tax returns and state filings
