Artemis, a growing PE-backed technology company, is seeking a Controller to own and scale the accounting function. You will lead month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance while mentoring a team of seven, identifying efficiency gains, and partnering with the CFO on budgeting and strategic initiatives.

The role offers remote work with high visibility and the autonomy to drive improvements across processes and technology.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA & Public Accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including GAAP and audits.

Responsabilités

• Lead accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and GAAP compliance
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately seven accounting professionals
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
• Drive improvements to the month-end close process and establish more efficient reporting timelines
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
• Optimize ERP functionality and leverage automation to reduce manual processes and improve workflows
• Oversee cash management and support federal and state tax compliance
• Research technical accounting matters and document conclusions in accordance with GAAP
• Partner with the CFO on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
• Support accounting integration and process improvements as the company continues to grow

We're partnering with a growing PE backed technology company in search of a Controller. This is an opportunity to work closely with the CFO, take ownership of a team, and play a meaningful role in shaping how the accounting department operates as the company continues to grow.

The CFO is looking for someone who brings fresh ideas, enjoys finding better ways of doing things, and can identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and develop the team. With a strong foundation already in place, there’s an opportunity to build on what’s working, introduce efficiencies, and make a tangible impact without having to rebuild the function from the ground up.

This is a fully remote, highly visible position offering the autonomy to drive improvements while serving as a trusted partner to the CFO.
