Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Corporate Controller for a growing, private equity-backed organization. This remote role will help lead the accounting and financial reporting function during a period of expansion and investment.

The role partners with executive leadership, lenders, and operating leaders, supervising a two-person team, driving close efficiency, controls, and scalable reporting across decentralized entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility and leadership exposure.
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader in a ~$100M+ revenue environment preferred.
• Strong experience leading monthly close and consolidated financial reporting processes.
• Experience supporting multi-entity organizations.
• Background in percentage-of-completed, project-based, construction, engineering, industrial services, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Public accounting foundation preferred.
• Experience participating in or leading ERP/finance systems implementations preferred.
• Proven ability to build processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting within a growing organization.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to partner across finance, operations, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple operating entities with timely and accurate consolidated reporting.
• Provide accounting leadership and technical guidance on percentage of completion, revenue recognition, and related matters.
• Prepare and oversee reporting packages for private equity ownership and lending partners; support covenant compliance.
• Oversee daily cash management, treasury functions, banking relationships, cash forecasting, and liquidity planning.
• Lead annual audit activities and coordinate with external auditors; manage schedules and audit requests.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a two-person accounting team; foster continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting; participate in ERP/finance systems initiatives.

Education
